who we are

Empowering voices, advocating for change

Our story

BLM RI PAC was formed in 2020 by RI BIPOC youth following the summer of unrest in support of Black life. We believe that in order to have meaningful and impactful change we must be at the table. Our work bridges grassroots organizing and electoral politics by supporting progressive BIPOC candidates, elected officials, and policies that will deliver resources and opportunities for our communities to THRIVE.

By working in a coalition with other progressive organizations within Rhode Island and across New England, we have an opportunity to pass monumental changes that will create pathways for progressive legislation across the country. Together with our communities, we are pushing the status quo on the legalization of cannabis, police accountability, and access to mental health services. Our communities and BIPOC leaders are the direct beneficiaries of our work. We stand with and provide support for our families impacted by police brutality, housing inequalities, and gun violence.
